BJP to meet President on Office of Profit Bill

Jalandhar, July 23 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) will meet President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam in protest against the ruling UPA government's ''adamant attitude over the issue of office of profit bill,'' party President Rajnath Singh said.

Talking to reporters here today, Mr Singh condemned the ruling Congress move of re-tabling the bill in Parliament without amendments and alleged that in its bid to save leaders of Left Parties the Congress '' have ignored the President's sentiments''.

He said the leaders of the Congress and Left parties were affected the most from the issue and the government was trying to save the Leftists to ensure continuation of their support.

Mr Singh said that his party would also protest in Parliament, against the government's move over the bill.

The BJP chief was in the city to participate in the Shaheed Parivar Fund's 95th function organised by the Hind Samachar Group here today to disburse relief to terrorism victim families.
