BJP demands Sachhar Committee be disbanded

Jalandhar, July 23 (UNI) The BJP today raised strong objections against the Sachhar Committee's recommendation on judicial posts and demanded that the panel should be disbanded.

Talking to reporters here today, BJP President Rajnath Singh said the recommendations might lead to "communalisation" of the judiciary and they were not acceptable to his party.

He also alleged that the UPA Government at the Centre was trying to "communalise" vital installations of the country.

''My party was against this attitude which might lead to creation of a pre-1947 situation,'' he said.

On the Navy war room leakage case, the BJP chief demanded a thorough probe either by Joint Parliamentary Committee(JPC) or by an inquiry commission.

He said that an CBI inquiry in this sensitive issue was not adequate.
