Tatas to contribute for health care of BPLs of Jharkhand
New Delhi, July 18 (UNI) Tata Group today formed the Sarva Swastha Mission with the Government of Jharkhand, Birla, Essar and Jindal for treatment of below poverty line people of the state to which Tatas will contribute Rs 25 crore per annum.
''This experiment of private public- partnership, based on a new concept of health security, would provide health coverage and medical treatment to the poorest of the poor in the state at affordable prices and will encourage private sector health services to reach out to remote areas,'' said a statement released here.
The mission will be independently run by the mission management group reporting to the trust the statement added.
