Entertainment society of Goa incurs Rs 10.35 cr for IFFI-05

Panaji, July 17 (UNI) The Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), a nodal agency of the state government for the conduct of the International Film festival of India since 2004, had incurred more than Rs 10.35 crore for the last fiscal.

In reply to a question of Dr Suresh Amonkar (BJP) tabled in the State Legislative Assembly today, Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane said the society had also more than Rs 83.87 lakhs approved liabilities that remained unpaid as on March 31 this year.

This included payment to Time Infotainment Media Limited to the tune of Rs 68.96 lakh, Inox Leisure's Limited that runs the 4-screen multiplex Rs eight lakh and Kala Academy, the venue of the festival Rs 6.9 lakh.
