Making of 'Krrish' to be taught at IIMs, B-schools

Mumbai, July 14 (UNI) The making of 2006's biggest blockbuster 'Krrish' will soon be taught in major business schools in India and abroad as case study in various fields of Management.

The film has been selected by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) - Indore in collaboration with Asia Case Research Center, University of Hong Kong and Harvard Business Case clearance House to make International case studies in the field of Media and Entertainment.

IIM-I has unanimously shortlisted 'Krrish' as one of the first Indian movie fit for an international level case study. It intends to make an International case study on the film which will be taught in IIMs as well as B-schools across Europe, Asia and Latin and North America. The case will be released arcoss the world through Harvard Case Clearance House, USA.

''This research will immensely help International and Indian students to learn about implementation of best management practices, global management of business, global factor of production, leadership as well as devising new management strategies regarding industrial marketing, global competition, global penetration and market capitalization,'' Dr Prashant Salwan, Professor of International Business and Marketing, who is also the chairman of experimental learning and Indian Multinational Mission, IIM-Indore said in a letter to the film's producer-director Rakesh Roshan.

Dr Salwan said 'Krrish' is one of the first Indian movies which has emerged from the third world countries created a brand called India and propogated Indian cinema style.

Talking to UNI, Mr Roshan said he has given his approval to the IIM-I to study the making of 'Krrish' and devising case studies in various areas of Management.

''It is an honour for the Indian film industry, that the making of an Indian film has been chosen for academic and research purpose,'' he said.
