Crude price scares Sensex down by 70 points
Mumbai, Jul 14: The BSE Sensex today opened in red by seventy points at 10,782.96 points as the US futures crude oil price touched a record high of US Dollar 78 per barrel.
The scenario has affected all the global markets.
Currently, BSE Sensex is trading at 10,652 points.
It has tocuhed a low of 10,630 and a high of 10,782 points in the intra-morning trade today.
All the BSE sectoral indices are currently in the red. Midcap and smallcap by 0.83 per cent, Bankex and IT by 1.81 and 1.61 per cent, whereas, Metals and Oil&Gas were down by 2.20 and 1.18 per cent, respectively.
There was only one gainer on the index and that was ONGC, which grew by 0.53 per cent.
The losers were - Hindlco, Tata Motors, Maruti Udyog, HDFC bank and Grasim Industries all down between 2.83 to 4.10 per cent.
