SMC Dy Mayor demands removal of obscene posters

Surat, July 13 (UNI) Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) Deputy Mayor Sushma Agarwal today issued a notice to the civic authorities, asking them to remove all the obscene posters in the city.

In the notice, she said that she had noticed a number of such hoardings at the city's various junctions. Since these hoardings are displayed near busy roads they are distracting the attention of the persons who are driving vehicles and can cause accidents.

''These hoardings are doing much harm to the Indian values,'' she observed.

SMC authorities said that necessary actions would be taken immediately.
