PWD to Construct Foot Over Bridge (FOB) at Dhaula Kuan

New Delhi, July 13 (UNI) In what promises to provide much-needed relief to pedestrians passing through the busy Dhaula Kuan, the Delhi government today instructed the PWD to take urgent action for the construction of a Foot Over bridge (FOB) in the area.

Delhi Urban Development and PWD Minister A.K. Walia, who visited the site to personally assess the difficulties being faced by the pedestrians in crossing the road from where heavy traffic was passing from both the sides, instructed PWD to take urgent action for construction of a Foot Over Bridge (FOB) at Dhula Kuan near DSOIS to provide much-needed relief to pedestrians.

At present, the pedestrians are crossing the road in groups by jumping over the road dividers and through a narrow opening in the railings of road dividers.

Dr Walia has asked PWD Engineers to immediately put up a Plan of Action for construction of FOB to avoid crushing of pedestrians while crossing road in a hurry.
