Orissa police nab most wanted criminal in Koraput
Koraput, Jul 13 (UNI) Orissa's most wanted criminal Badakrushana alias Pabitra Khora was arrested by Koraput police near mastiput village, 22 kms from here late last night.
For over one decade police of Orissa, Andhra Pradesh and Chattisgarh have been trailing to nab Khora but on many occasions he managed to escape from the police eyes.
The Koraput police alone had registered as many as 56 heinous criminal cases against him while hundreds of criminal cases were pending against him in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh and Chhatisgarh.
Police said Badakrushana and his gang members had let loose a rein of terror and indulged in series of looting,snatching, robbery and motorcycle lifting crimes on the state and national highways.
To nab the most wanted criminal the Koraput police led by Supertintendent of Police Arun Bothra had formed a special task force of 30 armed policemen a few months back.
After continuous efforts the police lead by Mr.Bothra arrested him near Mastiput village on receipt of a concrete intelligence input.
