Hooda declares Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia for Ashram firing victim

Chandigarh, July 13 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced an ex-gratia of Rs five lakh and a job to the next of kin of the deceased, who died in firing yesterday after a clash erupted between the followers of Satlok Ashram and villagers at Karontha in Rohtak district.

Mr Hooda said a member of the family of the deceased, who hailed from Baghpur, Jhajjar, would be given employment by the state government.

The Chief Minister, who visited the PGI, Rohtak to enquire about the health of the injured, also announced financial assistance of Rs 50,000 each and free medical aid to them.

Mr Hooda said the culprits, who opened fire from the Ashram's on the agitated villagers, would not be spared and stern action would be taken against them.
