Holding of public meetings in Chanakya Puri PS area banned
New Delhi, July 13 (UNI) The Delhi Police have banned holding of public meetings in and around the Chanakya puri police station area, where several diplomatic missions are located, from July 17, for a period of 60 days.
According to an order issued by Delhi police commissioner K K Paul, the ban has been imposed due to the likely obstruction of traffic and threat to security of diplomatic missions by processions and demonstrations.
Separate orders issued by the commissioner were ban on holding of public meetings in and around the Tis Hazari court complex from July 18, for a period of 60 days, and in and around Karkardooma court from July 18 for 60 days.
