Bihar govt's undue favour to Prakash Jha must stop: BPCC
Patna, July 13 (UNI) Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) today threatened to move court if the state government fails to scrap the deal in which noted film director and producer Prakash Jha has been allowed to construct multiplex without any tender.
BPCC Chief Spokesperson Prem Chandra Mishra told newspersons here that Mr Jha had been allotted lands at a throwaway price on lease by the Nitish government in different parts of the state.
Describing it as a serious irregularity, he said the government had allotted huge lands to Mr Jha despite objections by the law department.
While demanding a thorough probe into the incident, he asked Mr Kumar to explain the reason why the film personality was given undue favour and said his party would not tolerate any irregularities and corruption in the name of development.
