Powerful blasts leave bad memories on victims psyche

Mumbai, July 12 (UNI) Eyewitnesses to the serial blasts that rocked the financial hub yestersay, said the impact was so powerful that they lost their hearing for upto four hours, and are still having difficulty in hearing.

A young girl, who herself was not victim to the blasts, said she cannot forget the episode, as her elder brother has gone missing since last evening.

Bhagyashree Patil, a 12-year-old girl from Jalgaon, who had come to Mumbai to undergo kidney treatment at the KEM hospital here, said her elder brother Sahibrao Patil left for Virar last evening to get money for her treatment from a relative's house, after getting her food.

Bhagyashree, who is inconsolable and constantly crying, with the help of KEM hospital Dean Dr Neelima Kshrisagar, are looking for the lost brother, who has still not been traced.

Another victim of the serial blasts 14-year-old Mohammad Maroo, told UNI that he was working in Mother Bakery in the suburbs and was to leave for Lucknow by train this evening to meet his parents.

He, however went to meet a friend in Mahim last evening and was caught in the blasts sustaining a head injury. He regained consiousness only after reaching the hospital. He said that the sound of the blast was so loud, that he could not hear anything for upto three hours.
