High alert sounded in Maharashtra
Mumbai, July 11 (UNI) High alert has been sounded in Maharashtra following the serial blasts on the Western Railway's suburban train this evening.
The security has been made water-tight across the state, with 13 companies of the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) being deployed in the Maharashtra. Out of which, four companies were stationed in the city along with two companies of Rapid Action Force (RAF), Director General of Police Control Room sources said. Security has also been tightened at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has appealed to the people of the state to maintain peace and unite to fight jointly against the anti-social elements.
