Congress stalls proceedings in K'taka Assembly
Bangalore, July 11 (UNI) Proceedings in the Karnataka Assembly were stalled for the second day today by the Opposition Congress, which raised slogans and staged a dharna demanding a CBI probe and a discussion on the bribery allegations against Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Forests Minister C Chennigappa.
The House was adjourned twice in the morning session by Speaker Krishna following the Congress protest, first for half an hour and later for lunch break.
The slogan shouting Congress members, led by Leader of the Opposition N Dharam Singh, staged a dharna in the well of the House, demanding that the Presiding Officer change his ruling and take up discussion on an allegation by a BJP member of the Legislative Council that Mr Kumaraswamy had taken a bribe of Rs 150 crore from the mining lobby.
