Bangalore, July 11 (UNI) Both the Houses of the Karnataka Legislature were adjourned without transacting any business for the second day today as the opposition Congress continued its dharna demanding a CBI probe and a discussion on the bribery allegations against Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Forests Minister C Chennigappa.

When the House assembled in the afternoon after getting adjourned twice in the morning session over the issue, first for half an hour and then for lunch, the Congress members again requested Assembly Speaker Krishna to review his ruling on the adjournment motion given notice of them and allow for a discussion at least under a different rule.

Speaker Krishna had yesterday disallowed a discussion through an adjournment motion on the allegation made by BJP MLC Janardhan Reddy that Mr Kumaraswamy and Mr Chennigappa had received a bribe of Rs 150 crore from the mining lobby in Bellary district.

Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and Home Minister M P Prakash also told the Chair that the government was ready for a discussion on the issue, if it was allowed under a different rule.

The Speaker then assured that he would consider the demand tomorrow and adjourned the House for the day.
