Blair ''utterly condemns'' the shameful, brutal terrorist attacks

New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) British Prime Minister Tony Blair today ''utterly condemned'' the ''brutal and shameful'' terrorist attacks in Srinagar and Mumbai, saying there could never be any justification for such ''heinous crimes.'' Mr Blair extended support to India in its fight against terrorism, ''in all its forms,'' a spokesman of the British High Commission said.

''I condemn utterly the brutal and shameful attacks. There is no justification for such terrorist attacks. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families,'' the Prime Minister's statement said.

''Britain stands united with India, the world's largest democracy, through our shared values and shared determination to defeat terrorism in all its forms,'' his statement added.

Nearly 150 people were killed and over 300 injured, many of them seriously, as serial blasts ripped through packed suburban trains in the country's financial capital. Meanwhile, eight people, including six tourists from West Bengal, were killed and 37 injured in five grenade attacks in Srinagar this afternoon.
