RPI Chief condemn statue deface, demands arrest of miscreants

Kolhapur, July 9 (UNI) President of Republican Party of India (RPI) today condemned the of desecration of the statue of late Meenatai Thackeray, wife of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray and demanded an inquiry into the matter.

Commenting on the incident while talking to reporters here Mr Athawale said ''Meenatai is a respected personality of Shiv Sena and others,'' and added the state government should take immediate action in this connection.

He also demanded the arrest of the miscreants involved in the incident.
