Plan to extend metro to Bahadurgarh, says Hooda
Bahadurgarh, July 9 (UNI) A project report is being prepared to extend the Delhi Metro to Bahadurgarh in Haryana, state Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said.
The metro rail has already been sanctioned up to Gurgaon.
Describing Bahadurgarh as the 'gateway to Haryana', Mr Hooda said the town would be developed to meet its requirements. He was addressing a public rally here.
The state government will spend Rs 375 crore to augment drinking water supply in the current financial year, he said after laying the foundation stone of a Rs 1.15 crore drinking water supply scheme in Bamnauli village and a Rs 88 lakh scheme at Kulasi village in Jhajjar district.
The supply of drinking water would be improved in 5 'harijan chaupals' and more than 2,000 schools besides in 1,000 villages this year, he said.
Mr Hooda also laid the foundation stone of a 100-bed hospital to be constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore here.
