Yashwantro Mohite bestowed with Rajarshi Shahu award

Kolhapur, July 8 (UNI) Former Maharashtra Cooperation Minister Yashwantrao Mohite was today conferred upon with this year's prestigious 'Rajarshi Shahu' award at a function here.

The award, instituted by the Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Memorial Trust, Kolhapur, was presented in recognition of his service and outstanding contribution in his respective field in memory of great social reformer and erstwhile Kolhapur princely state ruler Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 51,000, a citation and momento, which were given away to Mr Mohite by Maharashtra Cooperation Minister Patangrao Kadam.

State Minister for School Education Hasan Mushrif and NCP MP Sadashivrao Mandlik were present on the occasion.
