Haryana plans sops for investors on lines of HP, Uttaranchal

Chandigarh, July 8 (UNI) To counter competition from neighbouring states, Haryana today announced that entrepreneurs would be provided with facilities and concessions on the pattern of Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, while talking to mediapersons at Adampur, 30 km from Hisar last evening, said both the Planning Commission and the Central Government had given him a positive response when he took up the matter.

In reply to a question, Mr Hooda said that villages would be developed on the pattern of urban areas. The Hisar-Delhi National Highway No 10 would be four-laned at a cost of Rs 700 crore.

Sewerage facilities would also be provided in all towns. He said that new industrial units would be set up in Mewat district to ensure its all round development.

The Chief Minister sanctioned developmental works for more than Rs one crore here.

He directed the Deputy Commissioner, Hisar to carry out the work of Hadbandi of land in Adampur and also sanctioned a community centre in a sector developed by HUDA at Adampur and Rs 75 lakh for construction of roads of Boga and Lady market, Adampur.

He also sanctioned Rs 55 lakh for repair of two sheds of Market Committee in Mandi, Adampur.
