K'taka Council pays homage to seer, ex-Minister
Bangalore, July 7 (UNI) The Karnataka Legislative Council today paid tributes to Sri Beerendra Keshava Tarakanandapuri Swamiji, head of Kaginele Kanaka Gurupeeth, who passed away yesterday.
Moving the obituary reference, Officiating Council Chairman Sachidanand Khot said that with the death of the swamiji, the Kanaka Gurupeeth had lost its first seer.
He recalled the contributions of the seer to the backward communities, particularly the pastoral Kuruba community.
Mr Khot also referred to the death of former Minister S Ramesh, who died today. He had also produced several films.
The House observed a minute's silance as a mark of respect to the departed souls.
