Israel airstrike kills 2 Gaza militants -medics

GAZA, July 7: An Israeli airstrike killed two Palestinian militants in northern Gaza today as part of an offensive aimed at stopping rocket fire from gunmen and securing the release of an abducted soldier.

An Israeli army spokesman said the missile attack targeted a group of gunmen. Palestinian medics said two militants died in the strike, the latest in a series of similar attacks Israel has launched since it began its Gaza offensive.
