At least thirteen more die of heat in Rajasthan

Jaipur, July 7 (UNI) At least thirteen more people have died due to current heat wave conditions that prevailed across Rajasthan in the last 24 hours.

Eight deaths were reported from Jaisalmer, three from Jodhpur.

one each in Barmer and Bikaner. With this, the total number of heat-related deaths have gone up to 38. Most of the deaths have occurred in the north-western parts of Rajasthan.

Doctors say the humidity coupled with heat is the reason behind the deaths in this part of the state.

Meanwhile, Udaipur and Kota divisions received good rainfall in the past 24 hours.

The weather department has predicted heavy rains in the next 24 hours in these two divisions.

There has been no rains in Jaipur over the past one week and people are suffering from high humidity and heat.
