3 members of a family including 2 children killed by lightning

Tehri, July 7 (UNI) Three members of a family including two children were killed and one was seriously injured by a lightning last night at Koti Village of Tehri district, police said today.

According to the police sources Bharat Singh (35), his two sons Pramod (5) and Kamal (3) were killed and his wife was severly injured by a lightning at Kot village 55 km from Tehri. The injured woman has been admitted in a local hospital in a critical condition.

Two bridges at Basar Patti in the same location were also washed away in heavy rains totally cutting off Buddha Kedar village from the outside world. Heavy loss of Kharif crops has also been reported from the region.
