World Bank financial assistance to UP hospitals
Lucknow, Jul 4: Under the Uttar Pradesh Health System Development Project (UPHSDP), state hospitals would get financial assistance from the World Bank.
Official sources told UNI here today, the scheme would first be implemented in Jaunpur, Mainpuri, Badaun, Bahraich and Banda districts.
The scheme would be launched in other districts if it proves successful in other places.
For providing better medical treatment to patients below poverty line, the cost of medical check-ups would be reimbursed by the state government.
The government is already providing free medicines and other facilities to the poor.
