UP housing development agencies earn Rs 533 crore

Lucknow, July 4 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Housing Development Board and Development Authorities have earned around Rs 533 crore till May last.

The figure is Rs 162.44 crore more than the set target of Rs 370.50 crore for the corresponding period.

UP minister of state for housing and urban planning Shailendra Yadav said here today, a target of Rs 2,850 crore had been fixed by the housing development agencies for the fiscal year 2006-07.

A target of Rs 540 crore had been fixed by four 'A' category development agencies, Rs 135 crore by five 'B' category development agencies and Rs 138 crore by 10 'C' category development agencies.

Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) earned 35.29 per cent income, Housing Development Board (HDB) 16.67 per cent, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) 13.25 per cent, Agra DA 17.97 per cent, Meerut DA 14.43 per cent, Varanasi DA 14.99 per cent, Banda DA 149.28 per cent, Bulandshahr DA 13.49, Ferozabad DA 14.27 per cent and Saharanpur DA 18.60 per cent.

He said all development authorities had been directed to ensure 100 per cent achievement of set target.

The minister had directed the officials to chalk out a time-bound programme for the purpose.
