Two naxals arrested
Jagdalpur, July 4 (UNI) Police have arrested two naxalites, each carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 on his head, from a forest near Padeli village and Korsanar in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, police said today.
Inspector General of Police (Bastar) J P Singh said on a tip-off about naxals holding a meeting in the forest to plan a major attack, police cordoned off the area on July 2.
Upon seeing the police, naxals opened fire forcing police to retaliate.
As naxals started fleeing after a fiery exchange, police arrested Kondgaon Dalam member Sitaram Kashyap and Massu Korram.
