Two injured in rail accident

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu July 4 (UNI) Two engine drivers of the Tirichi bound passenger train suffered injuries when a tractor carrying sugarcane bundles collided with the train in the level-crossing at Subramaniapuram near here today.

Police said the mishap resulted in delay in departure of the train for three and half hours from the accident spot and the engine had to be changed at Vriddhachalam, 40 kms from here.

The injured Noor Mohammed and Iyyappan were admitted to the private hospital here, police added.
