Tremor felt in China's capital

BEIJING, July 4 (Reuters) A tremor was felt in the Chinese capital on Tuesday but there were no immediate reports of damage.

China's seismological bureau said it had yet to determine the epicentre or the magnitude of the tremor, which was felt at least as far away as Haidian district in Beijing's northwest.

Commuters on Beijing's elevated expressways also felt shaking during the tremor, which occurred around 0930 hrs IST.

This month marks the 30th anniversary of an earthquake that killed 270,000 people in Tangshan east of Beijing.
