SW Monsoon brings rain to Western Ghats
Coimbatore, Jul 4 (UNI) The South West Monsoon has brought copious rainfall to the Western Ghats providing fillip to the water falls in the reigon, especially Kovai Courtallam.
The Noyyal River is brimming with water and people living in the low-lying areas have been asked to shift to safer places.
The city's main drinking water sources, including Siruvani and Piloor Dams, are overflowing due to heavy rains in the neighbouring Kerala.
Flash floods in foothills of the Western Ghats has affected normal life and help from the administration is yet to reach them.
