Students disrupt traffic on Imphal-Jiribham highway

Imphal, Jul 4 (UNI) Traffic was disrupted on NH 53, Imphal-Jiribam sector, following agitation launched by students of Tenkojang Higher Secondary School.

Police said the students of the school located at hilly area of Noney, Tamenglong district, began an indefinite blockade on the highway since last evening demanding appointment of teachers and development of infrastructure of the institution.

They also appealed to Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh to ensure repairing of approach road to the school, provide adequate teaching staff and improvement of infrastructure of the institution.
