Rupee strong by four paise; closes at Rs 46.00/04/USD

Mumbai July 4 (UNI) Indian currency today grew strong by four paise to close at Rs 46.00/04/US Dollar as compared to the previous close of Rs 46.06/08/US Dollar.

Earlier Rupee opened at Rs 46.00/02/US Dollar and in the mid morning session traded at 46.02/03/US Dollar.

The six month forward premia was at 1.00 per cent and the one year premia was at 1.13 per cent.

RBI fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 46.01/US Dollar today.

Rupee also fared well against other currencies: Rupee vs Euro was at Rs 58.75, Rupee vs Pound Sterling was at Rs 84.75 and against yen it was at Rs 40.09.
