Rains in south-eastern Rajasthan, Jaipur dry and humid

Jaipur, July 4 (UNI) The south-eastern parts of Rajasthan have received showers while the state capital continues to reel under scorching heat and extreme humidity.

The weather office said Bakani town in Jhalawar district has received 70 mm rain in the last 24 hours. While Ballabhnagar in Udaipur district has recorded 19 mm, Jhadol and Kherwada 15 mm, Pipalkund in Banswara 44 mm, Sagwara 24, Galiyakot 28 mm, Jahajpur in Bhilwara 36 mm, Begu in Chittor 14 mm rains. Many other places recorded 10 mm rains.

The irrigation department has recorded 62 mm in Jhalawar.

The weathermen predict cloudy sky with thundershowers and normal rains in south eastern parts of the state over the next 24 hours.
