Police constable attempts suicide

New Delhi, July 4 (UNI) A policeman posted at the Gujarat Bhawan tried to commit suicide early this morning, police said.

Atar Singh, a constable at the State reserve police, shot himself with his service weapon, DCP New Delhi district said.

The 30-year-old was posted at Gujarat bhawan three days ago.

He was taken to the RML hospital where he is undergoing treatment. Police are investigating the matter.
