PLA takes responsibility of killing woman leader
Imphal, Jul 4 (UNI) Proscribed militant outfit the People's Liberation Army(PLA) has claimed responsibility of killing Takhellambam Ongbi Menaka.
The PLA said the woman was killed for allegedly working as an informer of the army.
It said some PLA cadres were killed as Menaka passed information to the army about the outfit.
She was warned several times to stop her activities, the PLA said.
The PLA cadres had called her out on June 27 and later her body was found with bullet wounds.
In a separate incident, a youth was shot at his right hand late last night by unknown miscreants at Tera in Imphal.
Police said here today that the youth has been sent to hospital.
