NRIs to contribute 2 crore for Mid-Day meal in Rajasthan

New Delhi, July 4 (UNI) Impressed by the mid-day meal programme in Rajasthan, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) belonging to Rajasthan have decided to contribute Rs two crore for the programme.

They conveyed their decision to Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje after she inaugurated a conference of Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs) at Long Island in New York.

According to sources accompanying the chief minister on the US tour, the NRRs willingly responded to Ms Raje's appeal to them to come forward for economic development of the state.

The NRRs were informed about the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) being established over 3000 acres of land in the state.
