Nikkei rises 0.6 pct after US stocks gain

TOKYO, July 4 (Reuters) The Nikkei average rose 0.61 per cent on Tuesday, with shares of exporters such as Toyota Motor Corp.

bolstered by gains in U.S. stocks and easing concerns about the outlook for U.S. interest rates.

The Nikkei was up 95.34 points at 15,666.96 as of 0002 GMT.

The TOPIX index was up 0.76 percent at 1,605.29, clearing the 1,600 mark for the first time in a month.
