Monsoon plays hide-and-seek in UP

Lucknow, July 4 (UNI) Monsoon continues to play hide-and-seek in Uttar Pradesh, while humid weather conditions prevailed in most parts of the state.

According to the met department here, Bareilly, Agra and Jhansi recorded rise in temperature during the last 24 hours.

However, mercury fell at Allahabad.

Jhansi was the hottest place at 40 degrees Celsius.

In the next 24 hrs, rain/thundershowers are likely in Allahabad, Kanpur, Agra, Jhansi, Lucknow, Varanasi, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, Sitapur, Faizabad, Basti and Azamgarh.

The problems of the people have been compounded by the power crisis in the state, forcing authorities to resort to long power cuts at most places.
