New Delhi, July 4 (UNI) Even as the Monsoon rains continued to elude the national capital today, almost a week after the scheduled arrival of South West Monsoon in the capital, the weather office has predicted a mainly dry weather for the next two days.

Though the monsoon has covered some parts of West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir and some parts of Punjab like Ludhiana, it has still to reach Delhi, even six days after the scheduled date of its arrival in the capital on June 29.

Going by the predictions of the met office, the next two days may also witness the Monsoon continue to miss its tryst with Delhiites.

The weather office has predicted mainly dry weather over the North West region till Friday morning except for isolated rain or thundershowers in evening or night.

Eventhough the South west Monsoon is likely to move in the West and North West direction in the next few days, leading to enhanced rainfall activity in the region, there is likely to be heavy to very heavy rainfalls only at a few places over Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Telengana and Vidarbha for the next 1-2 days, the weather office said.
