MDA passed prevention of disqualification (amendment) bill

Shillong, July 4 (UNI) The Congress led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance government today passed the 'Prevention of Disqualification' (amendment) bill, 2006, in the state Assembly.

The state Minister in-charge of Parliamentary Affairs said the the Act would cover the office of 'Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Deputy Chairman or Director of a joint sector company' after proper re-examination.
