KVIB extends Rs 1 cr for 170 units
Srinagar, July 4 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) has extended margin money of about Rs one crore to 170 rural artisans for setting up of their units in south Kashmir district of Anantnag, an official spokesman said today.
He said the margin money was released under Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP) in the district during last financial year.
Various banks have also provided loan of Rs 3.24 crore for the purpose, he said.
This, he said, helped the unemployed youths to set up their own industrail units and also provide employment to others.
He said the coalition government has decided to extend all possible help to those who wanted to set up the units in the state, particuarly in the rural and far flung areas.
