Ranchi, JulY 4 (UNI) In what may be termed Inter-Gang rivalry among naxcalite groups in Jharkhand, a former self-styled area commander of banned Maoist Communist Centre, his brother along with wife have been killed in Latehar district, while police recovered the body of a CPI(maoist) ultra from Chatra district.

A report from Chatra said the deceased, identified as Chandrika Yadav, was killed last night by former members of the naxalite group. The body was recovered today.

Police said Yadav and his two associates were kidnapped last evening.

While two of the accomplices were released, Yadav was gunned down.

Yadav was a cadre of CPI(maoist) outfit and involved in Baniadih explosion case in which about a dozen policemen had been killed last year.

Report from Latehar said a former self-styled area commander of banned outfit MCC, his brother along with wife were killed at Kadragarh village under Balumath police station last night.

Official sources here said the killers slit the throats of the ultra, identified as Chotu Ganjhu, his brother and sister-in-law.

The incident had been attributed to inter-gang rivalry among the MCC and their former associates.

Chotu was released from jail last month and he was planning to join the new group, a conglomerate of the rebels from the MCC.
