Indian Edition of PC World launched

Bangalore, July 4 (UNI) The Indian edition of the world's No.one technology magazine 'PC World' has been launched by IDG Media Private Limited.

IDG India Preisdent N Bringi Dev said today that while the US edition of the magazine commanded a premium price of Rs 325 per copy (US Dollars 6.99). the Indian edition would have an introductory price of Rs.60 and would be bundled with a free DVD.

''We want Indian readers to have an opportunity to sample international quality editorial at even lower than regular Indian IT Magazine prices'' he said in a release here.

The first edition launch this month provided a comparison of nine leading brands of notebooks which were tested at the Bangalore test centre of IDG using its proprietary international benmchmark WorldBench. It also had results of the first ever revew of wireless data cards from Hutch, Reliance and Indicom, Editorial Director R Giridhar said.
