George Fernandes hospitalised for breathlessness; discharged
Bangalore, July 4 (UNI) Former Defence Minister George Fernandes was admitted to a private hospital here this morning after he complained of breathlessness and fatigue but was later discharged after several tests were performed on him.
Wockhardt Health Care Hospital Interventional Cardiologist Ranganath Nayak told UNI that the vital parameters of the 76-year-old veteran trade unionist were found to be stable. Several tests, including echo cardiogram and ECG, were performed on him, after which the doctors decided to discharge him tonight itself.
The NDA Convener would rest in the Raj Bhavan tonight.
Earlier, Mr Fernandes was put under observation at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.
His brother and former Mayor Michael Fernandes visited him at the hospital.
