Chargesheet against JK revenue official for tampering records
Srinagar, July 4 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation today produced a chargesheet against a revenue official and some beneficiaries for tampering with the land records here, an official spokesman said.
He said the chargesheet was produced against Mohammad Shafi Shah alias Arif Patwari and Mahboob Mir, Younis Mir, Yousuf Mir, Ismail Mir, Israil Mir, all residents of Mangam in Ganderbal, in the court of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption.
The accused patwari had tampered with the revenue records relating to a land measuring 25 kanals and 11 marlas belonging to Anant Singh, a resident of Srinagar, in order to confer undue benefit to the beneficiaries, the spokesman added.
During the course of investigation, he said the offences were established against the accused Patwari and the beneficiaries.
After obtaining the sanction for prosecution of the accused, the charge-sheet of the case was produced in the court.
