Allahabad, July 4 (UNI) In view of the Supreme Court direction on the issue, a five-judge Allahabad High Court bench today adjourned the hearing in the case of P K Dubey -- the Additional District Judge (ADJ) and Additional Legal Advisor to Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar.

On an application of High Court Bar Association secretary Rakesh Pandey, the High Court on June 23 had directed Mr Dubey to forthwith report at his headquarter, Ballia.

In spite of the June 23 order, neither principal secretary to the UP governor Lav Verma was present in the court nor records relating to Mr Dubey produced before the bench.

Additional solicitor general Ashok Nigam on behalf of the Union of India informed the court about the apex order on the matter. Chief standing counsel R C Yadav appeared in the court and presented the Supreme Court order.
