Bista ready to be sent to jail if found guilty
Kathmandu, July 4 (UNI) The Vice Chairman in the then Nepal Royal cabinet took moral responsibility of actions taken during the people's Movement in April this year.
Mr Bista said the erstwhile Cabinet should own up responsibility for whatever happened during the Movement. Mr Bista who was called by the high-level commission to probe into suppression of the people's movement, said he was ready to face the punishment if found guilty.
''If the commission finds me guilty, I will be ready to go to jail, '' he said.
The Commission also grilled King's Advisor Sharad Chandra Shah, retired DIG, Ashok Shrestha and erstwhile Home Secretary Bal Krishna Prasain today for their involvement in suppressing the Movement.
