AIMPLB opposes steel bullet proof cover for makeshift temple
Hyderabad, July 4 (UNI) All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) today criticised the Union Government's move to seek permission from the court for construction of steel bullet proof structure around the makeshift temple at the site of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya.
In a press release here, AIMPLB General Secretary Mohd Abdul Rahim Quraishi said ''people did not expect such a blatant pro-Hindutva measure from the UPA government which claims to be secular.'' Pointing out that the Supreme Court had ordered the Centre to maintain status quo, he said the Centre was only a custodian till the judicial verdict in the title suit of Babri Masjid was made.
