3 teenagers run over by train

Ballia, July 4 (UNI) Three teenaged boys were today run over by the Saryu-Yamuna Express at an unmanned railway crossing in Rasda area of the district.

Police said Govind (18), Ajit Sharma (19) and Upendra (15) of village Pahadpur were grazing their cattle this afternoon.

They saw a sand-laden tractor-trolley heading towards the crossing, even as the train was approaching.

The boys ran towards the tractor to warn its driver of the danger ahead.

However, the teenagers were hit by the tractor and they fell on the track.

All of them died on the spot.
